If you’ve found yourself wondering if you can go faster and further with your board, you're in the right place.
We are big advocates for adventuring and racing.
Whether you want to improve your general fitness and technique, explore further reaching water or become a top competitor, we are here for you.
All sessions are welcoming and inclusive, everyone has a different idea of where they want their paddling journey to take them and we embrace that.
From improving your confidence paddling your local route, to winning an ultra endurance event; you’re part of team and we’d love to see you out.
We like a pick ‘n’ mix approach to sessions rather than a linear pathway.
Everyone has their own goals and timetables so we find this works best to make sure everyone is getting a tailored approach to their paddling. You want to paddle a combination of Skills, Fitness, and Adventures.
Skills
Technique: Start to learn what makes an efficient stroke. Here we start to really tailor your stroke making your paddling straighter, faster and less demanding on your body (several sessions recommended). We have one hour, two hour and 4 week workshops.
Splash: You’ve got to get wetter to get better. Learn to move around on your board and self rescue.
Pure: Self guided session to practice what you have learnt. An instructor will be in the vicinity but not giving tuition.
Fitness
Building Distance 10 at 10: You will be paddling at your own pace aiming to get in a 10km paddle, but don’t worry if you don’t hit that magic number. Time on the water is the most important factor.
Interval Training: Increase your paddle fitness, endurance and stamina; through alternating periods of fast and slow paddling. This will help increase your overall speed (regular sessions recommended).
Adventures
Thursday Morning Adventure: Come and explore some new waters and build distance at a pace that suits you.
Beginner Friendly Adventure: A leisurely pootle paddle, suitable for those who are new to adventure paddling and for those who would like a relaxed adventure.
Tempo Adventure: Join us exploring the waterways. Paddlers must be able to sustain at least 5kph for the paddle.
Holidays, Expeditions, Multi Day Adventures: Where the magic happens. Our longer paddles at home and abroad.
